Optional Practical Training is one way to do both!
An NYU Office of Global
Services international student advisor will explain the rules and types of
Optional Practical Training (OPT), the most popular type of off-campus
employment for F-1 students. This workshop will specifically discuss
Pre-Completion and Post-Completion Optional Practical Training. Learn about how
to apply and the documents needed to ensure you’re able to work when you land
that job, too. Application materials
will be provided.
U.S. tax obligations, STEM OPT and Cap Gap OPT extensions will
also be briefly discussed.
