The Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP) produces intentional and sustained educational initiatives and campus-wide programs in the area of diversity and social justice.  Through collaborations with a broad range of students, faculty, administrators and community partners CMEP’s efforts are designed to make an institutional impact in enhancing intercultural awareness and offer compelling ways to explore the complex intersection of race, gender, religion, socio-economic class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national origin and many other aspects of identity in our daily lives.  For more information about CMEP’s events, programs, and student groups, visit the website.

The New York University Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Student Center creates a welcoming environment for all University students interested in developing their understanding of LGBTQ issues. Presidential Welcome & Reality Show

Join President Andy Hamilton, fellow new undergraduate students, alumni, and university officials at the Presidential Welcome of the newest class. Immediately following will be The Reality Show: NYU -- a gritty, funny musical about the lives of NYU students as they experience an array of confounding, confusing, and exciting issues. The Reality Show: NYU is written, performed, and produced by NYU students.

NYU Portraits creates a vibrant and colorful evening where diversity meets the stage to invigorate our passion for social justice, and service through the arts. This event is a campus tradition that utilizes an innovative approach to highlighting the importance of diversity as an enriching and transformative experience for our incoming first year and transfer students.

A Welcome Week tradition... wrapping up the week with the Ball! Each year is unique with a new theme. Past themes include Beach Ball, Zombie Ball, Glo Ball, Throwback Ball, and Music Festi-Ball! Get ready to dance the night away at this multi-floor, multi-DJ event. This will definitely be a night to remember. The 2016 theme is... good vibes ball so get ready to celebrate endless summer.
