GETTING INVOLVED AT NYU

College is about more than just academics. It is also an opportunity to meet people, discover new interests, and help build a sense of community on campus. Transfer Student Programs

Center for Multicultural Education and Programs

The Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP) produces intentional and sustained educational initiatives and campus-wide programs in the area of diversity and social justice.  Through collaborations with a broad range of students, faculty, administrators and community partners CMEP’s efforts are designed to make an institutional impact in enhancing intercultural awareness and offer compelling ways to explore the complex intersection of race, gender, religion, socio-economic class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national origin and many other aspects of identity in our daily lives.  For more information about CMEP’s events, programs, and student groups, visit the website.

The New York University Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Student Center creates a welcoming environment for all University students interested in developing their understanding of LGBTQ issues. Support services, resources, programs, advocacy, training, education and consultation are provided to members of the NYU community.
