Next Stop: Lower East Side!

LES Multi-Ethnic Eating Tour

WHAT: Walking the tenement-lined streets of the LES we'll get to know the stories and struggles of both recent and past immigrants and recent changes in what's become a hip artsy area.  While touring the neighborhood and learning about the rich immigrant history of the area, we will sample small helpings of food from all around the world sold each and every day in one of New York’s most fascinating neighborhoods. The unique snacks, Jewish, Latin American and East Asian will taste even better after being further seasoned with the significance of their socio-historical context.

WHEN: Sunday, March 1st at 12:30 PMWe will be leaving Kimmel at 12:40 PM SHARP.

WHERE: Meet at NYU Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South. We will plan to return to Kimmel around 3:30 PM.
