Dear Students,

Thanksgiving break is nearly upon us! Until then, we hope you take advantage of the events listed below:

Chinatown Food Tasting Walking Tour
Date: Friday, November 18
Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm EST
Meeting point: 10:45 am in front of 383 Lafayette Street.
Do you want to explore the second oldest Chinatown in America? Then join NYU Chaplains and the Office of Global Services (OGS) for a walking tour of NYC’s very own Chinatown. Walk the winding streets of a neighborhood where 200 year old histories confront modernity on every corner. Awaken your senses to the sounds, sights and smells of the bustling area. Expect to taste traditional buns and sip aromatic teas… don’t forget to arrive hungry!
Cost: $5 per person, non-refundable, NYU students only.  The price includes a tour guide and a small portion of food and drink. You are free to try more food at your own expense. Reserve a spot here.


R.I.S.E. / O.G.S. THANKSGIVING DINNER
Date: Friday, November 18
Time: 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Palladium MPR (140 East 14th Street, 3rd Floor)
Join R.I.S.E. (Residential International Student Engagement), O.G.S. (Office of Global Services), and other NYU students for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. We will be serving turkey, cooked ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed & sweet potatoes, gravy, dessert, and much more. You must RSVP for this event as we need to know how much food to order. Networking--American Style

Location: Furman Hall, 245 Sullivan St, Room 210
Networking is a powerful tool for students and practitioners. Networking can help you find a job, extend your business relationships, and gather information. However, networking strategies in the United States may differ from those employed in other countries. In this installment, students will learn how to network, American style.
