How
do I work off-campus before graduation? How can I work in the U.S. after I
graduate? Optional Practical Training is one way to do both!
An NYU Office of
Global Services
international student advisor will explain the rules and types of Optional Practical
Training (OPT),
the most popular type of off-campus employment for F-1 students. Learn about
how to apply and the documents needed to ensure you’re able to work when you
land that job, too. Application materials will be provided.
U.S.
tax obligations, STEM OPT and Cap Gap OPT extensions will also be briefly
discussed.
Seating
is limited. The RSVP is only for
reminder and cancellation purposes. Latecomers are welcome as space
