Conversations on Urbanization

"The Global Urban Agenda: The Urbanization Project's Shlomo (Solly) Angel will speak with Dr. Joan Clos, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN-Habitat and former mayor of Barcelona. They will draw on Dr. Clos' experience as the mayor of Barcelona to discuss their respective views of today's global urban agenda and the ways in which UN-Habitat is adapting to meet today's urban challenges. Angel and Clos will address the need for rapidly growing cities to make room for urban expansion and discuss cities that appear to be handling their growth well. They will also address the question of how to evaluate progress in cities, including the question of how to measure global slum populations."
