Services international student advisor will explain the rules and types of
Optional Practical
Training (OPT), the most popular type of off-campus employment for F-1 students.
This workshop will specifically discuss Pre-Completion and Post-Completion Optional
Practical Training. Learn about how to apply and the documents needed to ensure
you’re able to work when you land that job, too. Application materials will be provided. U.S.
tax obligations, STEM OPT and Cap Gap OPT extensions will also be briefly
discussed.
The RSVP is only
for notification purposes. Latecomers are welcome as space allows. This event
may be cancelled if there are less than ten people registered for the event.
