The College of Arts and Science's Preprofessional Advising Center helps students who are thinking about law, the health professions (e.g., medicine, dentistry, etc.), business,
or other professional training, to plan their education with these
goals in mind and to decide how, when, and where to apply to
professional school. Preprofessional advisors help students explore various professions,
suggest related readings, provide statistical information about the
probability of admission to selected schools, and assist with the
application process. Co-curricular programs are also offered, including
panels by professionals, resume writing and interviewing workshops, and
internships.

Attend an overview session:
Are you considering a health career?
Would you like to talk about your plans with a preprofessional advisor?
Join us for a prehealth overview!
During these sessions, a member of the preprofessional advising staff
will provide an overview of:
- Prehealth academic requirements
- Ways to develop your preprofessional portfolio and expand your extracurricular involvement
- The application process for schools of the health professions
The session will be followed by a question and answer session so that
you can get immediate responses to your prehealth questions.
A group overview will be your first touchpoint with our office and is a
great opportunity to connect with other students in our prehealth
community. The sessions will give you a foundation for what it means to
be a prehealth student and will inform future individual meetings that
you have with a member of our staff. Space at each overview session is
limited, so reserve your seat as soon as possible.
