Friday: Music of Lebanon

Al-Bustan Arab Music Concert Series: Music of Lebanon and Rahbani Brothers

Are you around for spring break? Looking for something different and fun to do? The NYU Abu Dhabi Center is putting on a concert of classics from the Rahbani Brothers' repertoire.

The concert is free, but reservations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A Trip From Here to There

March 15-July 30, 2013

A Trip from Here to There explores practices and works generated by walking and wandering. As members of exploratory expeditions and surveys, painters and draftsmen have long played key roles in the plotting and investigation of place. However, in the second half of the 20th century, the journey itself became both medium and subject for many artists. In some works, a walk or sojourn is precisely documented via maps and charts, dates and times, while in others, wandering's inherent detours and deviations are exploited, resulting in collages of impressions of graphs of explored terrain. For some artists, drawing is both nomadic and solitary, while for others it is a way to engage with one's environment and its inhabitants.

International students contribute to the University in many ways. To honor those individuals, the OGS ask NYU faculty, students, and staff to nominate a notable international student leader for this award. Students may nominate themselves and multiple nominations for one person are encouraged.

Eligible Nominees Include:

• International Students in F, J, or any other nonimmigrant status
• Completing their academic program by September 23, 2013

Through sharing stories, strangers touch and connect. Through stories, we are challenged. Through stories, we are human.
