Attention F-1 International Students Graduating in May 2013

If you have questions regarding your immigration options after the completion of your degree on May 21, 2013, then you need to speak to an international student advisor at the Office for Global Services (OGS; formerly OISS).

Before going you should watch the online F-1 Post Completion Workshop. Turn your speakers on for the audio portion and complete the survey at the end to indicate attendance. For more information about Optional Practical Training (OPT) in general, there is additional material online.

If you have any questions, now is the time to go to the OGS Walk-In Hours to speak with any international student advisor. If you wish to apply for OPT, the best time to apply is between mid-February and mid-March.

Walk-In Hours
Monday-Friday 1:00-4:00 pm at the OGS Office (561 LaGuardia Place)
Wednesday 5:00-7:00 pm at the Academic Resource Center (ARC)

Note: Walk-In Hours will not be available on February 15, February 18, and February 21.

The OISS has Changed: Welcome to the Office for Global Services

You can still find them online at either www.nyu.edu/oiss or at www.nyu.edu/ogs.

The OGS Student Services Office is located at 561 LaGuardia Place, with walk-in appointments available Monday-Friday 1:00-4:00 pm. They also offer extended advising hours on Wednesdays 5:00-7:00 pm, at the Academic Resource Center (ARC), located at 18 Washington Place, 1st Floor.
