Professor, and cultural critic, Ralph Ellison. Author of the 1953 National Book
Award Novel, Invisible Man, Ralph Ellison has "established himself as one
of the most important writers in America. Ellison was greatly concerned with
the exploration of African American Identity and voice - NYU Today, 1998."

trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC. The gift

and Japan and the continued close relationship between the two countries.

Students' essays. They will provide constructive feedback and suggestions to
improve your writing. We understand expressing oneself in a second language is
extremely difficult especially when placed in classes with native speakers. So
we are offering an opportunity and space for international students to interact
with other members of NYU’s community.
