A description of the programs offered:
1. ACCELERATED BACHELOR'S/MASTER'S PROGRAM (CAS & GSAS)
Website: http://cas.nyu.edu/object/ug.academicprogram.bamasters
Program Summary: Students admitted to this program complete at least a quarter of master's degree courses while still undergraduates (these courses do not count towards the bachelor's degree). In the graduate portion of the program, students can qualify for a scholarship covering up to 50% of tuition for one year, during which time they can finish the remainder of the master's degree.
Spring 2012 Application Deadline: April 2, 2012
Application Eligibility: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and must have earned a minimum of 48 credits (including advanced standing credits such as AP and IB test credits). In addition, some departments require pre-requisite coursework. Note: students in their final two semesters of undergraduate study (i.e., their senior year) are not eligible to apply to this program, but can still benefit from the CAS/GSAS Tuition Program (http://seniors.cas.nyu.edu/object/cas.seniors.tuitionprogram) if applying directly to a GSAS program.
Application Materials and Guidelines: Available at http://cas.nyu.edu/object/ug.academicprogram.bamasters

2. ACCELERATED BA/MPA AND BA/MUP PROGRAMS (CAS & Wagner)
Website: http://cas.nyu.edu/object/ug.academicprogram.bampa
Program Summary: Students simultaneously pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the College of Arts and Science and a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) or Master of Urban Planning (M.U.P.) from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Students admitted to the BA/MPA or BA/MUP program can, with careful planning, earn both degrees in a shortened time and at less cost than is normally the case. This program combines the benefits of a broad liberal arts education at the undergraduate level with a professional education at the graduate level.
Spring 2012 Pre-Application Deadline: April 2, 2012
Application Eligibility: You must a) be registered as a student in CAS; b) have completed at least 75 credits towards the BA degree (transfer students must have completed 32 credits within the College), and; c) have and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The BA/MPA program is open to any major; the BA/MUP is open to students in one of the following majors: Economics, International Relations, Metropolitan Studies, Sociology, and Urban Design. Note: for formal admission to Wagner, CAS seniors must also submit the Wagner graduate application prior to graduating from CAS, preferably in the fall of their senior year. Admission to the BA/MPA or BA/MUP track does not guarantee admission to Wagner.
Application Materials and Guidelines: Available at http://cas.nyu.edu/object/ug.academicprogram.bampa

3. ACCELERATED BA/MA TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS (CAS & Steinhardt)
Website: coming soon!
Program Summary: CAS students in selected majors (Biology, Chemistry, English, History, Mathematics, and Physics) can complete both their Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Teaching (grades 7 - 12) in just 5 years. In addition to saving money by completing the MA at an accelerated pace, students in this dual degree program receive a generous scholarship toward the MA degree. The scholarship typically covers 30% of graduation tuition and may cover more depending on the program of study and availability of external funds.
Spring 2012 Pre-Application Deadline: May 1, 2012
Application Eligibility: You must a) be a current, matriculated undergraduate in CAS; b) have declared one of the eligible majors; c) have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0; d) have completed a minimum of three semesters at NYU (transfer students must have completed a minimum of one semester); e) have a minimum of two semesters remaining prior to graduation. Note: for formal admission to Steinhardt, CAS seniors must also submit the Steinhardt graduate application prior to graduating from CAS. Admission to a BA/MA Teacher Education track does not guarantee admission to Steinhardt.
